Good tacos are hard to find in Portland. These are probably some of the best tacos I've had! I was sold on the homemade tortillas. The lengua and carnitas tacos were amazing. Will definitely be coming back and hope to eventually try all the options. 1000/10 highly recommend.

Great vibe just walking up to this place. Gave me a feeling of many of the local spots in Southern California. Menu was vast and had a lot of vegetarian options which I was impressed with. Went with 4 of the meat tacos including the Barbacoa Jalisco which was probably my favorite. The home made chips with guac and salsa were also excellent to start off the meal. It does get a little expensive looking at 4+ tacos since they aren’t the largest but all in all great atmosphere on a warm day.

I came to try this place because I've been looking for tacos de Guisado since I moved here. The food is outstanding, the service is great and quick. I ordered the Guisado sampler so I could try the different guisados. I ordered el pablano, cochinita, bistec con papá, mole, and cachete. The flavor is on point the food reminded me of eating back home in mexico. Of course I can't forget the horchata which is vegan. Come out and try this gem you won't regret it.

Absolutely delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine found in the heart of Southeast Portland! The service was incredible, the owner is very kind and accommodating. The food was so fresh and flavorful, when I bit into the first taco and closed my eyes, it was like I was sitting on the beach in Puerto Vallarta with a margarita in my hand! The atmosphere of the restaurant is super Mexican and super queer, which I love. I can't say enough about what a wonderful dining experience I had ! We'll definitely be coming back again soon with friends. Thank you so much for creating a restaurant that celebrates queerness and latinx culture. It was soul food for sure.

Saturday night on a whim and was super happy with the tacos. 1 chicken, 1 carnitas, 1 shrimp, and 1 barbacoa with chips and salsa (awesome), fried plantains and a margarita. So good. Fast service and cool scene. Highly recommend. Parking was easy up the street. Was able to sit outside despite the rain.

Have come here on many occasions to grab dinner while in the area. The location is great and perfectly situated along a bustling road filled with other eateries and bars. It’s great for friends to catch up, date night, or solo night to get your taco fix, or even to go. The tacos are my go-to and my favorite part is that the corn tortillas are homemade. The pozole was tasty, although I like to have a couple more limes in mine and a bit more hominy. It’s usually not too busy, even at peak dinner times there’s usually a table or two available to sit at. I also really enjoy the mezcal margarita, which is the smoky counterpart of tequila. Overall, great go to spot in the neighborhood to get your taco fix! Parking can be hard to find sometimes, so taking public transit can be helpful to get here and not worry about parking!

The shrimp taco I ate here and the tinga de pollo I sampled were among the best tacos I have had in my life. Spiced to perfection. The tortillas were on a completely different level, thick but perfectly supple. Outstanding all around.

Missing California/Mexico food. This hit the spot in a way I desperately needed after a week of birthday shenanigans. I was fortified and rejuvenated like only recipes of the ancestors can do. Thank you, chavos. You brought me back to life. And then I waddled home. Como decia mi Abue, panza llena, corazon feliz.
